Community Education and Outreach & Immigrant-2-Immigrant Program
Refugee Support and Integration Program
Through a partnership with Washington State’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Afghan Health Initiative offers culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate support to refugees as they rebuild their lives and integrate into King County communities. This program provides vital information, connections, and resources tailored to meet the unique needs of refugee families.
Key program activities include:
Outreach Events & Workshops: Hosting outreach events and workshops to provide educational workshops and community resources to empower refugees with the knowledge and tools for successful integration.
Resource Navigation: Assisting clients 1:1 in navigating essential services, helping them access housing, healthcare, employment, and other critical resources.
The Refugee Support and Integration Program empowers refugees with the knowledge, support, and community connections they need to thrive in their new home.
